Private conversations with George Bush secretly taped by an old friend before he was elected president foreshadow some of his political strategies and appear to reveal that he acknowledged using marijuana, The New York Times reported SaturdayBush also said that he hadn't planned to campaign against gays, but didn't want to alienate the conservative Christians. that's sweet and all, but deceptive as usual.

Scott Ritter, appearing with journalist Dahr Jamail yesterday in Washington State, dropped two shocking bombshells in a talk delivered to a packed house in Olympia’s Capitol Theater. The ex-Marine turned UNSCOM weapons inspector said that George W. Bush has "signed off" on plans to bomb Iran in June 2005, and claimed the U.S. manipulated the results of the recent Jan. 30 elections in Iraq.Well surely we would notice if those elections were manipulated. I mean, it's not like having over 1,000 political parties running and the names of the candidates not being released until a few days before the elections would suggest anything like that.
