So, I have to endure 4 more years of Bush.

It sucks that Kerry lost. I personally would not have minded going through legal battles to check votes. But whatever. It's done. Bush is President some more. It almost feels like it's not even happening.. I mean, wow. I'm ashamed to be an American today.
However...
Rather than crying about it, we need to remain strong. We need to look to the future. We need to make sure Bush knows that half the country doesn't agree with him.
I've been thinking about the next election and possibly candidates.
Republicans
Rudy Giuliani - NY - He says he doesn't plan to do anymore in politics though. I guess we'll see. Personally, I think he seems like a great guy, but I don't know if I like him as a politician. I haven't done enough research on him.
Dick Cheney - TX - We already know he won't run for President. He's said this before. Thank God and everything holy.
Jeb Bush - FL - Thank God he has also said he won't run.
John Ashcroft - MO - One of the more evil people in the Republican party, he's still painted as a Godly man somehow.
Elizabeth Dole - NC - If Clinton runs in 2008, what better idea than to have a woman run against her? We'd be forced to finally break the gender gap and we'd have a real interesting campaign...
John McCain - AZ - People like him from both sides. He's a very moderate conservative - fiscally liberal but socially conservative.
Tom Ridge - PA - Royal Douche bag and current Secretary of Homeland Security. He's a good liar and great at dropping plugs for his party into his speeches on Security.
Democrats
Evan Bayh - IN - Hugely popular in every county of Indiana in this election and the past few elections, I think he would be a good bet for President. He'd have the support of the Christian conservatives.
Hillary Clinton - NY - Although many democrats dislike her, I also know many that say she would win hands down without contest. The real question lies with Christian Conservatives and if they like here....
Barack Obama - IL - He's too young to run for President yet, but I can definitely see him running some day as the first black President or VP!
Howard Dean - VT - He'd be a dream come true. Socially liberal, fiscally conservative. He balanced the budget in Vermont as well. However, I'm not sure he's religious enough to get the most votes.
Wesley Clark - IL - If we're still in a time of war in 2008, he'd be a great candidate.
So there's a little future thinking. Maybe in 4 years I'll have a little more time and money to put into getting a democrat into office. For now though, we'll just have to endure the cruel and unusual punishment of a tyrannic President.

Until then, though, I'm going to be taking it a lot lighter on the politics. I've been so wrapped up in it that I forgot about living, having fun, doing homework, going to class, updating my websites, and have virtually lost all other conversation. I think I've disenfranchised a lot of my friends, if not my boyfriend.
To those that like the politics, I'll still talk about it from time to time. For those that would like to see less, you're in luck. Bush won. I'm tired. I worked as hard as I could to get the information to my friends to give people the power to persuade and the power of knowledge. Not because I wanted to feel special, but because I wanted the satisfaction of informing myself while enlightening others.
