jackola: (Bush - Four More Years?)
How did the most hated man in the United States get re-elected to be our President?

What's going on in the heads of all those ignorant middle class people that don't realize they're worse off under Bush?

I'll tell you what's going through their heads.

  • Kerry wants to make gay marriage legal???!! I can't believe this. It doesn't matter what Bush has done wrong, we need to stop this disgusting choice that people make!

  • All these women want to kill innocent little babies? The war in Iraq is forgivable as long as we don't let these ungodly heathens kill their innocent little babies.

  • Bush has kept us safe from terror. Only he could have done it and we need to keep him in order to keep doing it. It's thanks to his great policies that we haven't been attacked again.

  • Bush gave me a $600 tax cut! If Kerry is going to get elected, he's going to tax us out the ass because that's what democrats do!

  • Well, my preacher says that Bush is a godly man and we need to keep America godly! That liberal surely won't stand for godly things because he has all those blacks and gays supporting him!!

  • The federal deficit is the largest it's ever been? Well, that doesn't really matter. My neighbor told me that it's all internally owed money and that since we're America is doesn't matter if we pay things off anyway. Nobody wants to mess with the best!

  • Just because he's done so many wrong things so far doesn't mean he's going to do more wrong things for four more years. Let's give him another chance. He deserves it for bringing out country together after September 11 and for fighting those dirty terrorists in Iraq that were responsible for 9/11!!

Oh, you misguided people. You really believe anything with God slapped on it will lead you to the promised land. Who needs thinking when there's God?
  1. Kerry never said he wanted gay marriage. He said himself that he was against gay marriage personally. All he said was that he didn't support an amendment to the Constitution banning it. The amendment to the Constitution was only brought out in order to rally people together for Bush. That amendment would not have passed. It simply doesn't belong in the Constitution of the United States. Marriage has been a state issue since the country started marriages, and it will remain that way. You were quite PWN3D by the Republican party on that issue. They lied to you to gain your support.

  2. Bush has kept you safe from terror, true. However, you have to realize that it was not his own actions that did so. If Gore were President we would have been just as safe. We would have had the same government, the same FBI, the same CIA, the same laws in place to protect us. In fact, your assumption is also dangerous considering that Bush didn't even support "Homeland Security" at first. Also, aren't you the least bit concerned that Osama bin Laden has been free ever since September 11 and that al Queda has been growing in numbers?

  3. A tax cut you did receive. It feels pretty good, doesn't it? I know I enjoy getting free money in the mail.... However, you fail to realize that your $600 check didn't mean much as far as taxes go. The big checks went to the top 2% of the country. Thanks to those tax cuts, the tax burden on the middle class has gone up 6%. This means that whenever we start paying off this huge deficit Bush has created (probably not in the next 4 years in order to keep people happy with their tax cuts), you're going to be picking up another 6% of the tab that you didn't have before. These people also think that Democrats want to steal their money and give it to poor people. Go team rich people!

  4. The best part of the Republican party is that most evaluations of their Presidents aren't based on facts. They base their support on things which can't be proven or disproven... on ideas if you will. The Republican party figured out how to do this years ago with Ronald Reagan. If the President seems like a good man, says things that support a Christian agenda, and makes blatantly obvious publicity in order to paint him as a good man, that's all that matters to most. The logic after that doesn't matter, so long as they avoid the facts enough to justify their support.

  5. Forget about your kids. They'll afford to pay off the defecit later, right? Well, many Republicans say that it doesn't really matter. The deficit is only a deficit technically. Since we're America, nobody will do anything about it if we don't pay our debts. It doesn't matter that we had a federal budget surplus when Bush went into office. Not to mention, September 11 apparently gave him free reign to spend on anything he wants. As long as we have the big guns and keep other countries from having the big guns, all will be peaceful and we won't owe money to anyone.

  6. Wait. Since he has ROYALLY fucked up our country, our civil rights, our budget, our rights to live without government intrusion (PATRIOT ACT), and our good foreign relations, he should be given a chance to, what, clean it up?! I'm sorry, but without worry for re-election, that's just not going to happen.

The next four years we're guaranteed to have things happen that are even more screwed up than the last 4 years. Bush doesn't have that little re-election problem to worry about.

As long as we get no surprises (provisional ballots making up differences in some states), and Bush is indeed the winner, this is what I expect to happen in the next four years:
  • Supreme Court Justices will retire, leaving open seats that Bush will fill with the most conservative Christians he can find.

  • The war in Iraq going on for at least another year. We'll then declare success, pull some troops out, then have to rush back when we realize you can't take over other countries just like that without having terrorist backlash.

  • The tax cuts will keep repeating, pushing the tax burden even more onto the middle class.

  • Considering a poll of European countries showed that 77% supported Kerry over Bush, and considering the huge amounts of hatred of Bush in MOST European nations, don't expect much help from them over the next 4 years.

  • I'm predicting that the U.N. and the U.S.A. will have some major drama in the next four years... and I'm worried it will eventually lead to a World War 3.

  • As far as wars go, we WILL have more wars. It's only obvious that without re-election and with the richest war companies in the White House, we will definitely use our forces and make those companies some more profits. Watch out for Iran. Saudia Arabia should be one of the countries but it's doubtful since the Bush family has so many $$$ ties there. Watch our for a nuclear war with North Korea, too. They've been boasting about their great weapons lately...

  • More terrorist attacks. Call me an ignorant liberal if it makes you feel better, but with Bush in office, we WILL have more terrorist attacks, plain and simple. And you know what? They'll be allowed to happen... again. Just like before.

  • The draft. You'll feel pretty cowardly when this actually happens. It will on the course we're currently running.

I have more to write... namely about the bias-ly phrased gay marriage amendments and how the exit polls support everything I said in this entry.

The head of Diebold Voting Machines told Ohio Republicans in a fund-raising letter in August 2003 that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."
[Cleveland Plain Dealer]

Those machines were used in several states across the U.S.

Not only do they not leave a paper trail, but the Diebold has/had complete access to them and their vote counts.

Many will call this a conspiracy.

Computer programmers and hackers will point and laugh.

This is serious business, and until these are outlawed, we have no idea if this election was even tampered with or if future elections will be tampered with.

The majority of Americans don't mind because they don't know.

MONDAY Nov 1 2004: New information indicates that hackers may be targeting the central computers counting our votes tomorrow. All county elections officials who use modems to transfer votes from polling places to the central vote-counting server should disconnect the modems now.

There is no down side to removing the modems. Simply drive the vote cartridges from each polling place in to the central vote-counting location by car, instead of transmitting by modem. “Turning off” the modems may not be sufficient. Disconnect the central vote counting server from all modems, INCLUDING PHONE LINES, not just Internet.

In a very large county, this will add at most one hour to the vote-counting time, while offering significant protection from outside intrusion.

It appears that such an attack may already have taken place, in a primary election 6 weeks ago in King County, Washington -- a large jurisdiction with over one million registered voters. Documents, including internal audit logs for the central vote-counting computer, along with modem “trouble slips” consistent with hacker activity, show that the system may have been hacked on Sept. 14, 2004. Three hours is now missing from the vote-counting computer's "audit log," an automatically generated record, similar to the black box in an airplane, which registers certain kinds of events.

THEY EVEN HAVE DOCUMENTED PROOF from the primaries in Washington State where 3 hours of votes went missing!

This is grossly disgusting. No, I'm not pulling at straws in hopes of proving that Kerry won.

But if we are ever to take an election seriously ever again, we need to investigate these things!
