CBS chief Les Moonves said he won't rule out giving the one-and-only Jon Stewart a role on the CBS Evening News now that Dan Rather is gone.

I think this is amazing! If we can get Dave Attell to do sports, Dave Chappelle to take care of weather, and a couple of puppets from Crank Yankers to head out and do some field reporting, this could be the BEST NEWS TEAM EVER!!!

I'll support this if he applies for it, but honestly, there is more truth in comedy than there is in news today... So, I'd rather he stay with the Daily Show... Otherwise, the corporal jackals will own him down to the effective function of just another one of their puppets...and we won't get the direct and honest questions which highlight the lack of common sense in so much of our political goings on.

Oh, I totally agree.

THe only way I would approve of it is if the entire Daily Show staff moved with him.... and if they had total creative control.

Yay for Comedy Central being on most cable systems though!
