Cancer vaccine 'around the corner' - it's not set to hit the market for 2 years, probably so they can get in some publicity to enable them to charge more for it.

Florida legalizes "shoot first, ask questions later" - If you feel threatened, just pull your gun and shoot the person. That's what Florida is telling its citizens.
Sony has received a patent on a purely theoretical method for transmitting sensory experiences directly into the brain (view patent)
Jon Stewart got his second peabody award. - He received his first for 2000 election coverage. His second is for 2004 election coverage.
George W. Bush is the first sitting president to attend a papal funeral
Iraq has a new President - Does anyone else find it odd that his last name is Talabani?
And the worst news of all:
Bush officials say that the Patriot Act is working, and should be extended.
If you're a living, breathing, human being... you should be very disturbed by this. It's a direct violation of the U.S. Constitution, yet we approve of it because we're afraid of terrorists. Let's not forget what kind of government benefits from a police state.

For the record, it is a violation of the constitution to make people swear on a bible. Religion should never enter the courtroom.
