Wait, who's the flip flop?

"I don't think you can win it, but I think you can create conditions so that those who use terror as a tool are less acceptable in parts of the world."
     - George W. Bush, August 30, 2004, to NBC's Today co-host Matt Lauer.

"In this different kind of war, we may never sit down at a peace table. But make no mistake about it, we are winning and we will win. We will win by staying on the offensive, we will win by spreading liberty."
     - George W. Bush, August 31, 2004 to a veteran's group.

To be honest, I'm quite tired of "spreading liberty" while liberty is under heavy fire in our own country.

What he really means by 'spreading liberty' is that he wants to spread his religious and capitalist beliefs.

"staying on the offensive", huh? Pre-emptive war makes me sick. Let's defend our liberties here first.

Bush seems to sway back and forth on his terrorist/war policy. From the beginning, Bush has referred to himself as the "war president"...until that wasn't working. In a re-election really at Cedar Rapids (20 or 21 of July) Bush announced he wanted to be the "peace president." His war on terror seems to be the same thing.
