I hereby declare this day, 06/06/06, a day to sit back and recognize what ridiculous things people can be pursuaded to be afraid of. For instance, '666', the 'sign of the beast', which is clearly just a number that happens three times in a row.

Or, for example, gay marriage. Because clearly that's the most pressing issue today.

I mean, forget about oil, mexicans and terreris'... we got fags wanting to tie the knot!

I want to say that people's priorities are messed up, but the more I think about it, the more I realize these people are just completely out of touch of reality and have no sense or value of life on earth.

makes me sick.

I never, ever hear from Congress.org. Until today, to let me know how important it is to think one way or the other on the FMA.

The Senate will consider a constitutional amendment to limit marriage to between one man and one woman. Let Congress know your views. The vote will happen soon so consider a hand delivered letter and be sure to tell others you know about this important vote.

Such a soft way of saying "ban gays from marrying". And really, is this really an important vote? Are people's lives in danger? Will this fix the debt situation Bush has put us in? Will we be able to sleep better at night knowing people in consensual loving relationships can't express this love through legal binding?

I'm starting to wonder who runs this site. In case you didn't know, vote.com is very biased and caters to a conservative audience, which is probably why the vote results are very predictable.

Oh, and don't get me started on polls that tell you the current results BEFORE YOU VOTE.



Quite honestly, I feel taken advantage of on this whole gay marriage thing. Who wanted gay marriage to become an issue more? Freedom fighters and gays themselves, or an administration with a a conservative base that wants to force their religion and morals on others?
