North Korea Says It Has Nuclear Weapons
North Korea announced for the first time Thursday it has nuclear weapons, and it rejected moves to restart disarmament talks anytime soon, saying the bombs are protection against an increasingly hostile United States.More: Yahoo News
There's two reactions you'll see to this news:
(1) "OMG WMD!! WAR!! WE NEED TO REMOVE WMD!! TERRORISM!! KOREANS ARE TERRORISTS!! GOD WANTS US TO GO TO WAR!! IF YOU DON'T SUPPORT REMOVING THE WMD YOU ARE TERRORIST TOO!!!" (which, of course, would put us in even more danger of being nuked and probably lead to WW3)
(2) "What the hell did you think would happen when Bush got trigger happy on the rest of the world? Did you think the rest of the world would bend over for him? Did you think the largest economies in the world would just take it and like it? Hell no. They'll do almost* exactly what the U.S. would do: warn us."
Honestly, I'm not shocked. I'm proud to be an American and all, but under the current administration, I have to say I don't blame Korea for announcing this.
