I just noticed my twitter stream stopped posting over here. Huh!

I feel bad for LJ. It was essentially the first successful social network... and now it's like dead. Or I think it is?

You'd be surprised at how much LJ actually did for the social web. A few of the former LJ admins/peeps went on to do things like... work for google. and twitter. yea!

On that note, how is LJ land? Do people still USE it?

I don't post entries but I read my friends page every few days and make comments. I don't use Twitter. I am mainly on Facebook. Nothing else.

I am thinking about bringing Myspace back.

LJ is a bit thin, as there are no 'new' connections being made on a nearly constant basis like on Facebook. I think LJ is riding high on it's russian surge of activity, leading them to mostly ignore and not worry about US growth. Friendster, anyone?

I still read all my contacts posts.

Same here - I read my friends list, but I seldom post. For the most part, my friends list is made up of people that I connected with between 2001 and 2004.

Last month I followed [livejournal.com profile] pushba for a week or two... obviously Russia is going strong.

Hey, I remember you.

And yeah, some of us are still here, and still find the place worthwhile.

I've pretty much abandoned writing in my LJ for a while now. I still check it from time to time.

And I agree, LJ did a lot for social networking and I lament its demise.

I would say that I'm more of a "Consumer" rather than a "Publisher". I will swipe through every now and then and read the friends page for pages and pages and 'catch up' but I don't post often. Then again, I always terrible about posting on here regularly.

Hey Stranger

Hi Jack :)

Been a long time, since back in the day in BSU photography class with Tony. I use FB way more than LJ now, but decided to come in here and say goodbye to my little ole LJ from super uber drama's past. Post deletion is imminent. Ah well :)

I found a picture of you I took in class the other day. Nice pic. Good times, that class, and sealed my fate as at least a hobbyist photographer. (You can see some of my fashion work at http://modelmayhem.com/mikimoro if you would like)

I'll find you on FB if I can and say hi there. :) Hope life's been good to you!

P.S. Domo kun = fantastiche and you look great!
